Nathan Rieck is a Director at Neumann & Turnour Lawyers having made his way up the ranks after commencing employment with the firm whilst at university. He works in the areas of Not-for-Profit/Charity Law, Commercial Law and Property Law and has a particular interest in the interplay between the Charitable and Commercial sectors.
In this context:
- He obtained his Specialist Accreditation in Business Law from the Queensland Law Society in 2018.
- He is currently a member of the Queensland Law Society’s Not for Profits Law Committee having been appointed to that committee in early 2020.
- Personally, he has served as a Director, Treasurer and Deacon on a number of not-for-profit boards and committees.
Through this interplay between professional practice, professional qualifications and personal experience Nathan has developed a broad understanding of these sectors and, in particular, an appreciation of the unique issues which are faced by the Not-for-Profit and Charitable Sectors when they are required to interact with the Commercial and Business sectors. Further, he understands the value that good processes and advice in the back office can bring to operations on the ground.
